Turning Our Wheels

By Popular Demand!  Before your friends hear it on MTV!
Composed by Tiffany, too embarassed to rehearse it riding alone on backroads, but with little thought -:) about performing it before a hundred people, unrehearsed...
Turning Our Wheels
  by Tiffany Higgins
From Spirit Rock to Abhayagiri
On through the heartland
Scent of tamarack and alder
Almost to Oregon

Turning our wheels for the dharma
We just keep on cycling,
'cuz we all got our karma

Monks in saffron robes at the pit stops
Intoning wisdom
On what is a pilgrim
And what is not

Turning our wheels for the dharma
We just keep on cycling,
'cuz we all got our karma

What is the point of this journey?
--Besides that I got damage
And you got a bad knee--

What is the point of this journey?
With the wheels spins the mind
Obsessively

What is the point of this journey?
--Besides that the destination
isn't what I expected it to be--

Is the point to get to the top of that hill?
'Cuz if the upslopes don't satisfy you
Babe then nothin' will

Turning our wheels for the dharma
We just keep on cycling,
there's no end to our karma
